Coconut Ladoo with condensed milk is an easy, delicious, fudgy Indian sweet that is ready in just 10 minutes. Using just a handful of ingredients like shredded coconut, condensed milk, and ghee this is a perfect dessert when you are short of time and need something delicious.
Once the pan heats up add 1 and ½ teaspoon of ghee to it.
To the ghee add the 2 cups of desiccated coconut and roast it for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep roasting till you get a nice aroma of coconut.
Switch of the heat and transfer the roasted desiccated coconut to a mixing bowl.
Pour ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk over the coconut powder/desiccated coconut.
Mix it all together till all the coconut powder is mixed and no dry patches are left.
Add 3 tablespoons of milk and mix the coconut ladoo mixture well. Set it aside for about 5 minutes for the milk and condensed milk soak into the shredded coconut/desiccated coconut.
Once the mixture is ready using a spoon or a small cookie scoop to make the ladoo balls roll the ladoos in your palm to give it a round shape.
Coat the ladoos with desiccated coconut and they are ready to serve.
Store them in an air tight container. They will stay good at room temperature for about a day and about a week in the refrigerator.
Notes
Be careful to not over roast the desiccated coconut or it will change taste and color.
You can add gel food color to make them colorful
If you like less sweet then you can skip the 2 tablespoon of condensed milk.
