    Lets go to the basics.

    What is a Panna Cotta?

Panna Cotta is a very famous Italian dessert. Very simply put, Panna Cotta in the Italian language means "Cooked Cream".

It originated in the Piedmont region of Italy.

It's an Italian dessert made with sweetened cream and thickened with gelatin and set in a bowl or a mold.

The way the cream is flavored defines the taste of the dessert.

The base ingredients of any Panna Cotta are cream, sugar, and gelatin. Its delicate sweetness and smooth texture give it a rich look and make it elegant to serve.

    Commonly Asked questions.

Why did my Cadbury Chocolate Panna Cotta not set?

One of the reasons the Panna Cotta did not set would be because the gelatin did not melt all the way or you boiled the gelatin mixture.

The gelatin needs to melt and mix in hot water naturally. When you boil the gelatin mixture, it loses its thickening power and won't set as desired.

The other reason would be that you didn't give your Panna Cotta enough time to set.

Why did my Panna Cotta turn grainy/lumpy?

Undissolved gelatin causes lumps in Panna Cotta. Gelatin is a tricky ingredient to work with if you melt it too hot or add cold/chilled liquid to it in a hurry.

Gelatin needs to be completely dissolved and should be added to a mixture only when it's off the heat.

So the most important thing you need to understand is that gelatin is a tricky ingredient to work with. But if done correctly you will definitely get amazing results.
